Think, Act, Vote!

A new campaign aimed at boosting the perception of politics and promoting the role it plays in everyday life has been combining the worlds of democracy and fashion, launching a new T-shirt to promote positive political action, encouraging people to Think, Act, Vote.
Lauren Ivory went to the prestigious launch party to find out more.

“Think Act Vote is a campaign to inspire us to think more positively about our future and the votes we cast today, tomorrow and forever”
Amisha Ghadaili, founder of  Think Act Vote

Last Wednesday I was lucky enough to attend the Think Act Vote launch party- a campaign founded by Amisha that aimed to inspire people to feel connected to their political identity- and recognise that we are not just voting every four years (even though that remains very important!) but everyday in the decisions we make.

The launch saw the unveiling of a new Think Act Vote t-shirt (below), the result of a competition which asked entrants to come up with an inspiring design based on the campaign. It saw the worlds of politics and fashion merge, creating an evening of great energy and excitement, looking at a positive way to engage people.

The timing of the campaign couldn’t be better- with an election looming it is great to see such a positive, energetic campaign that aims to capture the imagination and raise awareness about the importance of politics in creative and new ways, through fashion, or art (the campaign is also planning of putting together an anthology of the campaigns journey)

Over the next few weeks, the Think Act Vote team, and their beautiful ballot box will be popping up everywhere to ask people to vote for ‘the future they choose’ it’s a great way to begin to open up a conversation about the world of power and influence. Like TweetyHall, it’s opening up a new dialogue and way to approach politics, and looking for politics to become a conversation, rather than a tick on a ballot paper every four years.
